Friends of Clonmel Mourn the Loss of Founder Leo Jordan
“The Friends of Clonmel Board is deeply saddened by the loss of our founder,” said Jim Dillon, President of the Friends of Clonmel. “Not only is the passing of Leo a loss to the Friends of Clonmel, but the entire Irish Community in Peoria.”
Leo Jordan passed away on September 28, 2018, at the age of 86. Along with his wife Jo, Leo founded the Friends of Clonmel organization to support the Sister City, or “Twinning”, relationship between Peoria, Illinois and Clonmel, Ireland. He served as the first President of the Friends of Clonmel and later on the Board of Directors for many years.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Jordan family.
“Until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of his hand.”
